Product warping, and knife gouges that collect food and stain.

I have this exact board and as long as you don't put it in the dishwasher it won't warp. The food stains aren't that bad and no worse than any other plastic cutting board I've ever used. Paid $11 last year for this, so $8 is a good price.

Out, I buy this kind of cutting board to toss in the dishwasher. If i have to hand wash, I might as well pull out something wood.

So you just cut raw chicken on wood? There is a time and place for wood or plastic. I have both and use plastic most of the time. Hand washing a cutting board takes 30 seconds....

you're better off with wood cutting boards anyways. We shouldn't be using plastic cutting boards unless we want to constantly ingest plastic.

OP forgot to mention this cutting board also supplies your recommended daily value of microplastics.

We've used wood for nearly everything for 20+ years now. Chicken, turkey, etc. Clean it properly and you're good.

Proper wooden cutting boards do not harbor microorganism very well, especially compared to plastic.

I believe this is the study being referred to: https://academic.oup.com/toxsci/a...ogin=false

Although it may not be completely coming from plastic cutting boards, I've definitely more aware of reducing plastic contact with my food nowadays…
