If you filter the reviews by "most recent" you'll see a ton of negative ones. Many people say the manufacturer changed the recipe for the worse.

I think the intention is to use as mixers

I've never tried this brand before, but I've seen it at Costco before. I do like Bundaberg ginger beer. I'll give this brand a shot.

In for 1, let's hope it tastes as good as Costco's bottled version from Fever-Tree.

Fever tree is spicier than that one. I remember Costco having that bundaberg ginger beer on sale a while back. That's before a fever tree became available at Costco. Though I've never seen canned fever tree…

Bundaberg was very tasty, but almost twice the sugar content. You taste the spice and ginger in fever tree a lot more. I'd say better for mixed drinks but you can't drink more than 1-2 of the Costco sized ones easily without some stomach pain.

Costco pricing is still way better. And they have five bucks off during Q4 usually

This is not to drink straight, although its good, its not like bundaberg. Its intended purpose (and all of this brand's products) is as a mixer

FWIW I've had this a few times in the bottled version. It tastes fine and had a bit more "bite" to it than other ginger beers I've had.I stopped buying it because it has, on numerous occasions, caused me to unexpectedly cough. It's almost like a completely unexpected choke/cough and it happens mid-swallow. It's the strangest thing because the sensation is pretty much my throat having a reflex to the "bite" and it's the only beverage I've ever had this reaction to multiple times. The last time I tried to hold it in and I coughed it out of my nose. I'm laughing about it now but that did not feel good. Once I realized it always happened while drinking this particular drink I decided it was probably better to avoid it. Finding out now that it's more of a mixer than an actual drink makes sense.

FYI it's on sale at Costco, but essentially the same price per ounce:

Costco: $11.59 for 12x 9.3oz glass bottles ($0.1039/oz)

Amazon: $12.73 for 24x 5.0721oz cans ($0.1058/oz)
Or $14.23 for 24x 5.0721oz cans ($0.1169/oz)

I'll drink fever tree all day. One of the best ginger beers out there. If you get a chance to try Maui Brewing ginger beer, I'd do it. I'd rank Maui Brewing then fever tree, followed by bundaberg.
