Remember the two golden secrets of Audible. 1) Store unused credits as pre-order audiobook purchases before your subscription runs out. There is no need to use all your credits before your membership ends. When you see a book you want (in or outside of membership), just cancel the pre-order and your credit will be returned. If that pre-order is about to be released and you still haven't used the credit, cancel the pre-order, and use the credit on another pre-order. 2) Return audiobooks you have already listened to for credits. You can usually return up to three audiobooks at a time, but this allowance is often only every couple of months. You can return books up to one year from purchase.

This worked on my husband's account. He had canceled an annual plan just last month, and Audible had already been popping up an offer of 3 months at .99 a month that we had until late Dec to take, I think, so I was waiting for a better deal. This will do! Thanks!

Also on a current 3m/$1 per promotion. If I KNEW I'd be eligible I'd go ahead and cancel. But I don't think anyone has ever figured out a pattern to what makes you eligible for any particular promo. I'd say I'm eligible about half the time I see a posting about a free trial or discounted promo period.

I just read and listened to Intermezzo by Sally Rooney (bought the Audible book, checked out the Kindle ebook from the library - I sometimes like to go back and forth between reading/listening depending on what I'm doing). Great book, excellent narration.

If I were you I'd pop into chat and tell them you accidentally cancelled before using your credits. Don't know if they'll make it right, but can't hurt to ask,their cs has gone to trouble to fix stuff for me before (not this exact thing, though). Just ask nicely and be chill if they say no, you might get lucky.
