Just wondering, what makes this better than the $40 humidifier at target?

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

Most of those are ultrasonic humidifiers, which are ones you should not use with tap water (could be harmful to health as it will turn any contaminants in the water into mist too). This one is evaporative (can use tap water). It is also easier to clean (dishwasher safe tank), has a UV-integrated pump, antimocrobial wick, and smart features (can control using app on your phone).

This is an excellent deal. It's usually $150 or occasionally $130. It's one of the highest-recommended humidifiers on Wirecutter https://www.nytimes.com/wirecutte...umidifier/

Evaporative, super easy to clean, dishwasher-safe tank, energy-efficient (DC-powered) motor, smart controls
