I bought this controller and it is a masterpiece of design. Almost too beautiful to get all grubby with your sweaty hands. Looks better in person. The pics don't do it justice. To answer someone's question here, yes, it is their standard controller with better grips. Feels almost like the Elite series.

Curiosity Q - is this the same overall model/series as their "Xbox Core Wireless Controller" line, just a limited/fancy style? Or is it actually a bit different than their basic core line? There was a Woot deal posted last week for a new black core series controller for just under 40$.

(I understand there's the elite series, and, confusingly enough, the elite core series, both of which are above this model/price point from what I can tell)

I've taken apart and cleaned many Xbox controllers. If you game often, you do not want a clear top case. You're just going to be looking at dirt, dust and grime.
