Warning! The warranty is void if there is water damage. Even if the water damage came from the mopping system failing! Or if the damage is unrelated to the issue but there is corrosion somewhere from it being exposed to the mop washing feature.

Basically if it goes wrong, expect them to weasel out, even if you try and escalate to the manufacturer.

(spent 1k on the Roborock MaxV Ultra and a year later the mopping function died to error 40, Allstate handles all refurb warranties through eBay)

Roborock is fairly infamous for having just a crazy number of products available with a jumbling of features (as in, roborock2.0 won't necessarily have all the features of roborock1.0 plus more). But $100 for the simple but excellent performing Q5 pro is pretty awesome, I was jazzed to get my Q5 standard for $200 a couple years back.

You can google "roborock comparison chart," people on Reddit have tried to keep up to date on all the different modes.

I bought the Q7 max + a few weeks ago. Now the price has dropped about $70. I requested a price refund for the difference or else I requested to return my original purchase and reorder since it's still within the 30 day return period. I am pretty happy with the Q7+ max overall, although the mop feature isn't that helpful unless you start with a clean floor, otherwise it just drags around the dirt and leaves streaks.

We have had this Q-Revo for about a year. Mediocre (at best) object detection capabilities, but a very strong overall performer for the basics of what a robot vac and mop is expected to do. Ours vacuums the living side of the house every day at 3AM, recharges for a few hours, and mops at 7. We awake to a mostly spotless house. I say mostly because it does not mop the inch or so closest to walls and cabinets. All in all, a good tradeoff in my opinion for the price. As a matter of fact, $288 was such a great deal that I just bought the one in this listing for use in the basement. Up until now the basement has been kept clean by our Xiaomi Mi vacuum (the precursor to Roborock and still under the same corporate umbrella), but after 7 years its battery is basically gone.

$102 seems dirt cheap to replace my very old Roomba, is this the best bang for the buck? I found the thread you're talking about on Reddit but Reddit is down for me. I'm eyeing the Qrevo S @ $460 for downstairs but $102 for upstairs seems like a no brainer

It's impossible to say best bang for your buck, but IMO if you just need simple vacuuming yeah the Q5 is fantastic. For an example of why it might not be enough for you, I kind of wish I'd bought the version with the dock since my fur factory makes sure I have to empty the bin on the Q5 daily. Q5 pro does have a slightly larger bin which tempts me to upgrade but ultimately my Q5 is in great shape so I probably won't.
