I bought this about a week ago. It's a solid computer. I reloaded Windows 11 to get rid of the bloat and am getting six hours of battery life. The only upgrade I might make is adding a 2TB SSD to the empty slot.
I have an Acer Nitro 16 (AMD 7840HS & 4070) and it's a decent laptop. Just be aware that this line is not slim and light, but the beefier chassis allows for a decent cooling solution.
This laptop has a good CPU, 32GB RAM (upgradeable) and a 4060 RTX GPU. It should be very capable of playing modern games at FHD resolution. The USB-4 thunderbolt is a nice addition here too.
Just be aware that the 4060 is limited by that 80W TDP compared to a fully powered 4060 at 115W, so you may not get full 4060 framerates from this laptop.
If you're looking for longer battery life, keep an eye out for deals with the Intel Core 7 155H, core or even an AMD Ryzen AI CPU from the Zen 5 generation. Some of those have been on sale in this price point recently and offer major power efficiency improvements and similar performance to the 13th Gen Intel chips.
