That's a bad seller on ebay. You need to return that.
You think?

Any of these worth upgrading from my 2070 Super?

I am fine now, was just thinking of getting 4070 after the 5000 cards dropped, or a 5070 depending on price
I got lucky almost 2 years ago and picked up a used 3080 12gb for $500 from Zotac last time. Previously had a Gigabyte 2070 the jump was significant. From gaming at ultra 1080 to gaming at 1440 ultra high fps. But if your looking at anything other than the 3090s I'd say wait. The 40 series has frame gen which is very good for most situation. Plus the 50 series might be very good at lower tiers.

Is ZOTAC good ?
They have some great performing high-end cards, but as a company they're unsavory. They personally raised their prices on their web store to match scalper prices during the GPU shortage during the pandemic and became scalpers themselves. They only provide 30 day warranties on refurbs and have a history of being difficult with RMA's.

I personally avoid them as a company. Their business practices give me the ick.

Yep these prices are still insane. $877 for a REFURB 3090 ti that is about to be 2 generations old in 3 months? Jokes. New ones were on sale for around $1100 2 years ago.
There's still demand for 3090s because they have 24GB of VRAM and are relatively cheap - people doing local LLM work stuff their systems with multiple 3090s. But since the VRAM is the important part I don't think most of them would go for 3090 Ti, and in any case the reports here suggest reliability of these refurbs is not great.

I bought the RTX 3070 Ti refurbished from Zotac 1-2 weeks ago to hold me over at 1440p for the next few years. It works fine and looks new.

I have bought a decent amount of cards both from the eBay store and their website. Prices are right when they do these sales but the conditions of the cards are super hit and miss and often the fans are crap. Warranty is a joke. Sometimes they ship fast sometimes it takes 2-3 weeks just keep this in mind.

Bought a refurbished 3090 on eBay. Looks good on the outside but DOA with crashes.
Hearing this is giving me a pause about buying from their site. At least ebay offers buyer protection and the ebay stores care about negative feedback. Here they can just dick you around, will charge your for the return shipping (per their website) and potentially charge a restocking fee.

They don't exactly stand behind their product either with just a three-month warranty on their refurbished cards. Their open box stuff gets 3 years btw, so these refurbished cards can easily be factory rejects and lemons.

If anyone needs or wants a card, you will regret not buying now when the Trump tarriffs hit next year and a 5080 is going for $2000 MSRP and $5000 from scalpers.
Just FYI, Biden/Harris administration already has tariffs set for next year. Some already took effect this year too

I grabbed the $240 3070 for a flip... RTX just sells better, and I wasn't finding any 6700XT/6750XT deals anyway, even used. I went back and forth on it and the $200 3060 TI, but RGB sells too. If I'd seen that $306 3080 10gb when it was in stock, I would have grabbed that too.

How much faster is the RTX 4070 Ti Super, RTX 4080 Super, RTX 3090 and RTX 3090 Ti over RTX 3070 to warrant such a huge price increase?

Just got a used 3070 off eBay for like 260 after tax and shipping. Would have gladly went with a refurbished Zotac at a similar price. Might have even stepped up to the 3080.

Second this. All of the components come from China. It's now or never. Companies are already buying up stock proactively in anticipation. I have to pull the trigger this holiday season for a cpu bundle from microcenter or else.
They can move the manufacturing back to taiwan in no time.
