FYI : This comes with Fire TV . You will definitely need external streamer as it very slow.
"Warehouse" tab in official costco app
I mean, $400 for a 75 inch TV is pretty cheap, 60hz isn't really a deal breaker given that it's obviously a budget/lower end TV. I believe the qm751g is still like $1000 for the 75", which is the next step up from this.

I bought one in store for $399 yesterday. Rented a U-Haul van for $35 (total including mileage) to get this home. Unboxed at home to make sure it's not damaged before returning the U-Haul.

As for the TV, it's good for watching football. I'm not a videophile who can spot all the flaws and nuances, but there are some issues with this TV that even I can see:
1) The picture often looks washed out. Seems worse with lots of lighter colors on the screen.
2) Skin tones look off
3) Generally the colors don't seem to render they way they should be
4) Some graininess

Maybe issues 1-3 can improve with adjustments?

The good parts about the TV are screen size (obviously) and brightness. But I would prefer a TV with better color rendering
Are you sure you got a q691f model and not a q651g model?

I suggest you go into the hamburger menu (hamburger on remote) and reset the color settings. I am getting deep, beautiful colors on YouTube, Netflix, and Prime Videos.

My Costco q691f TV has colors that are TOO vivid. I had to turn down the color saturation by -5 because green grasses were absolutely LUMINOUS. I had to change the color tint +5 towards green because everybody's face looked too pink / sunburned.

Did you look at my photos of the screensaver? your TV should produce similar results/.

The FireTV remote controls the volume level on our $200 Vizio 36514 home theater. In fact, it works better than with our Roku / Vizio TV because the TV wakes up the home theater which I often have to do manually with the Vizio TV / Roku Box.

Do you mind sharing your setting?
Anyone figured out what's the best setting for this TV?

I agree with this quote. Out of the box, the colors on mine almost burned my eyeballs out of my skull, definitely too vivid. I still don't have my settings exactly right, hoping rtings or some other site will come out with ideal picture settings at some point. But to your point, there is PLENTY of vivid color on this TV.

I can give you mine as something to start with. You'll have to make adjustments to your room.

Picture mode Standard

Backlight. 57

Contrast. 43

Brightness 2

Color 1

Tint. 0

Sharpness 2

Game mode on

Vrr off

Advanced settings

Gamma 0

Backlight. On

Contrast. Low

Local contrast. Middle

Super res. On

Mpeg noise. On

Dynamic noise. On

Dynamic noise reduction. Middle

Dynamic color boost. On

Motion process high

Local dimming. High

You can also try these settings in MOVIE mode instead of STANDARD.

Or try all the picture modes to see which one you like best

Brightness affects Blacks ( less brightness equals darker blacks)and Contrast affects whites. Adjust to your liking.

I have a friend who has a datacolor Spyder calibration tool that he's going to bring over sometime before Xmas and calibrate the TV and see if it improves the colors and settings.I think I got it looking pretty good now. So we'll see just how close I am.

I still don't see any other TV at this price that's better. Especially if you got it at 399.

People have to remember you don't get a LEXUS at a Carolla price.

You have to be realistic
Did you end up calibrating it? If so, wondering what your settings are?

Mine seems just fine. It's a bedroom TV so I'm less critical. Why do you "hate" it?

Does anyone else have an overscan issue with the TV? When I connect a computer it keeps overscanning and there is no "just scan" option, only Auto and 16:9, both of which overscan. Even antenna OTA channels it is overscanning.
