not true at all.
28" 4K no scaling is the sweetspot, for ergonomics.

It's $180...

People really have nothing better to do than parrot these statements over and over day after day? I wish I could get dopamine hits that easily.

Would this be a good monitor for basic tasks on Mac Mini M4?

Yes. Any halfway decent 4K monitor will work well, and it appears this monitor gets batch calibration, so it is definitely halfway decent.

A 4K monitor should be at least 32". I like to have 100% scaling so the font will appear really small.

According to who?

All of the 4K distance to size ratio charts calculate that going as low as 25" is still appreciable as long as you're sitting within 3' of the screen.

Why would you assume there's something wrong with it?

It's just on sale.

Take advantage before the tariffs kick in.

It's apples to oranges. Those gaming monitors tend to have poor to okay color depth. This is definitely for those who need color accuracy on a budget. Also, anything 100+ Hz hurts my eyes for office use where I need to start a doc or image for long period of time.
