For anyone who is debating between the regular Arc or the Arc Ultra and is planning a surround setup:

You cannot use Sonos Play 1, 3, 5, or Symfonisk Gen 1 speakers as surrounds for the Arc Ultra. You could with the Arc

If doing dual subs - you'll need 2x Sub 4, 2x Sub 3, or Sub 3 + Sub 4. You cannot use a Sub 2 as part of the pair like you can with the regular Arc.

Great tip. Snagged an "excellent" set of White Sonos Ace for $240 from best buy. If they show any sign of wear ill return.

Wanted the ace but couldn't justify $350, let alone RRP of $450. Lets see how this turns out…

My take: In a small room, the beam holds its own. In a medium or larger room the Arc is a step up.
