This is really a top tier SSD. Gaming performance didn't heavily affected by SSD speed. I'd go smaller and cheaper for a mid-tier gaming PC. You should be able to get something under $100 for 2 TB.

Seems to work so long as you have a .gov email address. Im not military, but have a .gov email.

Got it for $191 total. It is kinda lame because it is forcing a $6.99 shipping charge. Frown

If people need, it looks like you can get $25 off via your first purchase using the Samsung Store App on orders over $250. Not sure if that is on top of taxes or if the item has to be over $250. Worth a look.

Is the heatsink necessary for video and photo editing? Also, most enclosures say the fastest is only 2800 which is slower than the ssd.

Ahhh... If only life was that simple in Apple land.. Google about issues with using an external hard drive with a Mac and you will be in for a big surprise. Basically Apple intentionally makes it difficult for their customers to add and use an external drive with their computers because they want to make money by pushing you to upgrade your storage drive when ordering so they can charge you an arm and a leg (the good one) for it.
