Yes. That's what the AX stands for. Paired with a 5700x3d it would be a pretty well priced rig.

Don't think so. But you can buy a bluetooth/wifi card for quite cheap and just plug it into one of the pcie slots

Just a warning, the last motherboard I ordered from Amazon (ASUS WS680) just had a shipping label stuck to the motherboard box and it arrived empty (seal broken and taped over).

So for someone upgrading from a Zen 3600/2070 Super to a 5800X3D and either a 4070 or 5070 depending on what prices do, is a MOBO like this a must buy at this price?

I have had a basic 450 MOBO for 4 years, no issues at all

B450 should be fine for 5800x3D. Unless you want to have a second rig for a server or kid, just upgrade the CPU in the existing system

I can't recall if a 450 just has PCI Gen 3? If so, technically, with a 4070, you'd take a small performance hit on a x16 slot. Not much and likely you'd never notice it. We don't know about the 5070 yet. You won't need Gen 5, but maybe it does need Gen 4 and Gen 3 does cause a performance hit....can't tell yet.

Personally, I'd be tempted if you think you'll stay on AM4 for a few years, as the boards aren't likely to get a whole lot cheaper and personally, I'd rather pay $15-20 more than it'd be a year from now, to just put it all in at once rather than re-do it again. You get a newer board with likely longer term bios support.

If money's tight though, no, it's not likely necessary for RTX 4xxx series. Again, likely not for RTX 5xxx either, but we just don't know yet.

I considered this as an isolated incident.
