I just got the same SSD for $170 from samsung.com using the edu discount and the code CYOD2024EPP75.
where did that code come from? just tried it, not working for me... wondering if maybe it's a one-time-use code and I need a unique one
I've had mine for a year. They came with the latest firmware out of the box even back then. No drive health issues this entire year. That was a problem very early in its life cycle and right before the 4tb versions released so the 4's came with update.

Been looking for a 4TB M.2 for primary drive, willing to spend a little extra money for high quality, is this the deal I've been waiting for?

Will this work well without heatsink? I don't think it will fit in my ASUS ROG x16 2022.

This is a good deal, assuming you don't have employee, military or education discounts. It wouldn't hurt to wait until cyber Monday just to make sure there isn't a better deal though.

I bought 3 of these last Black Friday for 280 each. That was a good deal then. I was expecting a bigger drop in price a year later, 200 seems about right, but we are in an inflation economy so it is what it is. Still good deal.

I am Tempted to buy another now for my Asus Ally X

Does this have dram? The acer 4TB has dram and is about same price and a tad bit faster I think. But I could be wrong! Am in my car and cannot check right now

It has been 200 before in the past. I've been waiting too but heard reports of accelerated wear. Samsung released a firmware but I don't know if that affects the drive health percentage reporting specifically or the actual cell health.

This, or the WD SN850X 4TB for $250? For my Legion 7i gaming laptop.

Other than the price, this made me more willing to purchase. Thanks!
