It's been this price on and off for a while. It's a good monitor if you don't need usb-c, and more solid than most 4K/IPS in this price range, but not a smoking deal.

You can purchase a usb-c to DisplayPort cable.

I have 3 monitors connected to my mac. One is mac hdmi to monitor hdmi. A second is mac TB to hdmi-port adapter, hdmi cable to monitor hdmi. A third is mac TB to displayport adapter, displayport cable to monitor displayport. There's lots of options.

This is brighter at 350 nits compared to 300. IMO that's a deal breaker for the LG.

I have 2 of these and got them for $299 each. I've not seen it go to $199 except for maybe once. They're great monitors though, and even better now that I have BetterDisplay running them on a mac (they're technically not recommended for macs).

Thunderbolt --> HDMI dongle.

I have a dual HDMI --> thunderbolt dongle that I connect these to my M1 Macbook Pro.
