I bought this when it was $26 and change. Called Target for a price adjustment and after half an hour on the phone, the rep said they could only get a refund for the price and not on the tax. He said he didn't see any tax on the item even though I see it on my end. Not a huge amount in the grand scheme of things but annoying nonetheless.

If I hadn't already snagged the Paldea Evolved ETB at $25, this would be a good deal since that's now out of stock. The promo is cool, but it's not as good as the one from the ETB and not worth picking up. Imo. I don't think S&V Base and Obisidian Flames packs are as interesting as Paldea Evolved, either.

They're good, though older (Scarlet and Violet came out about 1.5 years ago). They're all part of the current "set", so if your child plays at any level, they can use the cards. Obsidian Flames has a lot of Charizards in it so a fun pack to open.

On the collector's side, Scarlet and Violet + Paldea Evolved are becoming more desired because of their age and scarcity, but I'd say thats more for adult hobbyists.
Overall, a good buy, and a good gift - though if you're looking for raw pack potential, you can probably find cheaper with some of the other Black Friday deals
