I have a RTX 3090 that I plan to use on this board. It is a 3-slots card. Is there a way to check if there is enough space clean for it to not cover up the second PCI slot?

pcpartpicker.com, input all your parts, it checks clearance (more or less) not foolproof however

It's not too old, it just depends on your budget and needs! 5800x3d can still be great.

Gud price for mid tier mobo. Ugly, generic, IMO. My last build had MEG Unify-X, but that's top tier mobo.

This is an AM4 board so you'll have to buy a new CPU for it. At this point there are some really good AM5 bundles around. Newegg has them periodically and if you live close neough to a Micro Center, they have banging AM5 bundles.

I'd also look at 5700x3d as it's considerably cheaper than 5800x3d and only about 7% slower.

no point in getting an am4 platform unless you're on a tight budget constraint
you can get an am5 bundle which includes:
ryzen 5 7600x (pretty much performs as good in games as a 5700x3d/5800x3d)
1tb nvme ssd
b650m wifi motherboard
32gb ddr5-6400
for around 300-330 on newegg
if you use the current newegg gift card promo too, you can get an extra 20 off

I ordered this yesterday and installed this morning. It worked with my 5700x3D out of the box, the bios were from March 2024. It weirdly doesn't have a power LED on the board so when it didn't power on at first I didn't know if the board was getting power or not. But everything works now, seems solid.

Question, does the 7600x comes with integrated graphics? Just trying to calculate how much it is he end cost would be to build a PC with that type of combo, ie. $330 + PSU + Case + GPU? + CPU Fan? + Thermal Paste.
