I bought a Brooklyn Bedding HYBRID mattress a few months ago via Walmart and love it. https://www.walmart.com/ip/seort/241779307

The Factory is in Arizona and it was basically made to order. If you order them directly though the Brooklyn Bedding site they're pricey but if you buy through Walmart it's cheaper.

Here's an all foam Brooklyn Bedding mattress. https://www.walmart.com/ip/seort/5456044004

How does this compare to the Zinus green tea mattress from Amazon? Queen 12" is $229 for Black Friday. I'm looking for a mattress on the firm side. 165 lbs and wife is 125 lbs.

Also need some pointers for mattress selection. Look on a firm memory foam queen. Prices are here and there inflated.

Same price on several other sites, if you don't want to support this site because of you know what.

Bad, like they all are. I had to let mine offgas in the garage for a month and it still reeked. Beats sleeping on a pile of hay I guess.

At both your weights anything will be firm for you lol. I've heard good things about the green tea, I've also had a Zinus mattress before and it was fantastic.
Was the green tea supposed to be firm?

You sold me! Now what do you think of 12" vs 14" thickness? Will I have to buy special sheets? which did you get? Also *THANK YOU*!

It depends on how 'plush' or 'firm' you want it to be . The 8" coil springs inside will be the same, so the additional 2" of foam is basically more room to sink into.

It also depends on how much you weigh and what position you sleep in.
Someone who weighs 100 pounds vs someone (like me) who weighs 200 pounds are going to have different opinions as what constitutes a "Firm" mattress.

I got the 12" hybrid and it's Just right for me. The first couple nights, I thought I'd messed up and got 'too firm' of a mattress. But then it broke in or my body adjusted and I've been sleeping like a baby since.

There's some pretty good youtube tutorials for helping to decide which type of mattress for your body type and sleep position.

I bought a 10" after some reviews saying 12 and 14 feel like bean bags and I prefer a firmer mattress. Anyways you were beyond helpful, thank you again and it gets here Sunday!
