So this track is only 50 inches. Not enough to break down a 4 x 8 piece of material. You can get the 1408 extension rail for this unit at a cost of $79.99 on Amazon and the Milescraft site bringing the total investment to $164.98 or You can get the WEN Plunge Cut Circular Saw Bundle with 100-Inch Track Saw Guide Rail and Adapters for $148.19 on Amazon. Just a Thought.
I am more of a fan of StumpyNubs when it comes to tool recommendations—he still does a lot of tutorials, safety, and tips/tricks type videos and then talks about "cool tools" once in a while. It seems like 731 has pretty much shifted exclusively to affiliate marketing and selling plans in recent years and less of the "this is how to make a difficult cut and keep all your digits" style content.

There is a good youtube video where the guy makes a tracksaw guide out of a piece of plywood and some boarder pieces. Good idea if you're a diy type. I already have one though

If your DIY and need one once or twice every couple of years, it's a good way to go.

Yeah, there is an easy way to make one specific to your saw using a piece of hardboard and dead straight plywood or MDF like is mentioned at end of OP. That method is great if you just do this type of cut occasionally, but if you're doing it a lot, this Milescraft is a great value.

Big fan of StumpyNubs too.

That's a fair critique of 731z

I have this and have used it several times. Following the instructions and getting it set up correctly makes for a really good cut. I missed a couple steps in the instructions the first few times and had a couple wobbles in my cuts but now that it's dialed in I really like it.

Can it adjust for a saw whose blade is not parallel to the shoe?

So…about what you'd expect from a guy with a bunch of Jesus shirts and religious stuff in the background of his woodworking content.

The lord wants you to affiliate market!

He doesn't push it onto anyone or stop mid-video to proselytize to his viewers or ask for "donations" so it doesn't affect his content that way. It took me several videos to even notice it, really.

Now, when he gets his viewers to buy him a private jet because his Lord says he needs one, then we'll put him into that bucket.

It doesn't really look like it to me, but it might be possible if you can loosen one side of the black clamping bars on the sled to adjust for the difference.

Of course, if your shoe and blade aren't parallel, you can get a decent sidewinder saw for as little as $50 (sometimes less) and not have to deal with that either.

I did something similar to trim a door. Worked really well and didn't take long to make.

I do think there's something to be said when someone brands Jesus or any other ideology that screams "hey I'm on your team. Therefore give me your time and money since you think we're on the same side"
