Just returned our gateway this am. After a big outage earlier this week, this AM we woke to no internet. Tmo pushed an update to our gateway and bricked it. Our billing cycle starts on the 20th. Today is the 21st, they said they will cancel it next bill cycle - $46.45/mo for a service that barely worked and now I owe an extra month for a service I can't even use. Before the outage and before they bricked our gateway, it was pretty rough to use it. We could see speeds in the 70mpbs range at most, but it would drop and doing a zoom call across it was not feasible.

Did this last year for a free 43" Fire TV and fought them for 6 months and never got the TV rebate I followed all rules on. Be careful

A 4 series 43" is more of the "current" model, while they still sell the 2 series for ~80$ less at 150$. Just a general idea on value / recency of what you are getting.

Nice, hadn't heard of that. Though it's a one-time $15 credit.

Really? Whenever I've cancelled a service with T-Mobile cell and home Internet, they've always prorated to the day of cancellation
You have to request same-day cancellation on the home internet to get prorated. They won't do this for cell phone plans.

I tried the 5G home wifi earlier this year when they were offering a free Nintendo switch with sign up. We test drove it first for 10 days and it sucked. It would disconnect a lot and we experienced throttling during peak hours around 5-7pm. We ended up not signing up.
That was Verizon giving out the Nintendo switch, not T-Mobile.

I've also read the switch has major connection problems with 5G internet due to cgnat.

Yeah I couldn't rely on mine for home internet. At morning and evening peak times, they give priority to cellphone traffic and the speeds drop considerably.
Same here. I don't mind slower speed occasionally but can't do work meetings when it frequently dropped to 0mbps for sustained time. Many calls to tech support, and now I understand this too, home Internet is always lower priority than cellular and won't switch to different towers, so I gave up too.

Why are people taking the TV, take the money.

As far as speed, check hotspot speed with phone first. It is what it is. At half the price of comcrap, it was fine for me.

Only quirk is that the Ethernet port is only 150mbs while WiFi is 700….
Could always try a different router. These Tmobile routers are cheap second hand, like $25 on facebook marketplace. I have had the Netgear unit for years, much faster wired speeds than you are quoting.

I got 4-5 bars on 5G. I chose the package come with mesh access point. However, less than 2 days usage, and it's horrible experience so far. The main gateway device has been self power up and down many times. So, I constantly get connection interruption. 5G signal is pretty good around my house. My iPhone using 5G to streaming YouTube video without any issue. So, I think maybe I got defected gateway device. Make no sense to me it's keeping powering up/down. I don't know what cause it to reboot. Each time I lose connection, a moment later I can see gateway screen showing "powering up". I thought maybe it's patching OS because it's just out of box. But it still happened during second day usage. Device internal overheating? Will try to contact tech support to see what they say about this.

For me Tmobile has been very reliable but what they did to me was very mean they raised my bill by 40

I was paying 150 for

12 lines
1 tablet line
1 home internet

And they added 40dls and bundle all lines into 1 plane if I cancel línes my bill actually goes up.

I only need 6 lines from the 12 and my son it's 13 so he doesn't
need tablet anymore.

It's hard to find 150 for 6 lines and internet.

So I guess I suck it up a d pay 190 for all the perks and Netflix but I am a bit annoyed.

I checked so many other places and. I can't find anything that will make me move from tmobile.

Does anyone know T-Mobile Internet charges from the day your device ships or from the day you active your T-Mobile Internet?

Like everyone that is saying their free TV never came, I too was scammed by t-mobile. But I signed up when 5g home internet first came out, signed up for the $40 month deal then. Have gotten charged $50 ever since. Keep calling and sometimes they give me $10-30 credit and say I am not eligble for the $30 or $ 35 current promotion, the best they can do is the $40 promotion that was active when I signed up, this time the promotion is going to "stick", they will call back in 45 days to verify the new $40 rate is on my account, blah, blah blah. But if I cancel there are no spots available and I have to remain off the account for 90 days to get the new rate. Hope the FTC sues t-mobile again.

Check my previous comment, you have to wait for sometime for $250 offer to show up

Also for C1S portal CAPONE card is not required . Anyone can sign up for it
I can't seem to get the $250 C1S to show up. I keep getting $15 only. Activated it, then tried again the next day. Also tried setting up a new account on a different computer. Any other tricks to get the C1S offer to show up?

Been using T-Mobile HI for 2 months. Switched from $83 per month Spectrum 500 to TMHI and get 600-900 down and 60-70 up (up on Spectrum was 15). I did get the 200 rebate. It would be worth it even without the rebate for me.
I pay $25/month for Spectrum Essentials with 60 Mbps - more than enough for 4k streaming, gaming, everything. (they don't advertise this plan, of course)

Most people be surprised at how little data they actually use. paying $$$$ for over 100 Mbps really isn't necessary for 95% of the population.

I have activated my account yesterday. Today I see a bill for $55 instead of $50. I have auto pay with debit card enabled.
Same. Someone said in the TOS it says it takes 1-2 billing cycles for autopay discount to kick-in. That makes no sense since it said $50 at checkout. Company is already irritating me with bullshit and it's only been a few days.

The site also told me autopay wasn't enabled when I 100% used a qualifying debit card to complete the order specifically to get the autopay discount. Had to set it up again. Clown show.

I wonder when they charge the activation fee though as it's not on the first bill. I guess if I somehow get out of paying that I won't be that annoyed about the extra $5.
