Just returned our gateway this am. After a big outage earlier this week, this AM we woke to no internet. Tmo pushed an update to our gateway and bricked it. Our billing cycle starts on the 20th. Today is the 21st, they said they will cancel it next bill cycle - $46.45/mo for a service that barely worked and now I owe an extra month for a service I can't even use. Before the outage and before they bricked our gateway, it was pretty rough to use it. We could see speeds in the 70mpbs range at most, but it would drop and doing a zoom call across it was not feasible.
Did this last year for a free 43" Fire TV and fought them for 6 months and never got the TV rebate I followed all rules on. Be careful
A 4 series 43" is more of the "current" model, while they still sell the 2 series for ~80$ less at 150$. Just a general idea on value / recency of what you are getting.

When they send a link , it will be on top right with options to transfer funds . You can enter account and routing number . Money will show up in couple of days
Wow, that is the BEST news I've heard in all of 2025. I always have so much trouble liquidating virtual credit cards. Thanks for the heads up and good news!

Rep given.

It's a virtual prepaid card, so I'm assuming they email a link to the card. But who knows? I set up paperless billing from the get-go and they've been snail mailing paper notices for every little thing.

Your submission date is the same as mine. I placed the order 3 days before. We're probably both already in the 3rd billing cycle. For me the 2nd bill was Jan 23-Feb 22. So next bill is about to come out and I don't think they prorate. Assuming they deliver card in the next couple of days, I'll owe for the 3rd bill that will end around Mar 23.

Hopefully we get these cards fast!

For those that have received the email with the link to the virtual prepaid card...does it come from T-Mobile or whoever the virtual card company is? I just want to make sure I don't delete it by mistake with all of the junk mail I get.

Where do I go to to cancel the Home Internet online?

Google says to go to "Services" section but I don't see that any where on the app or online on my account.

I think you have to call to cancel.

Yes, you currently have to call. If you Google there's a good chance you'll get the number for mobile customer service, but you want Home Internet customer service. It's 1-844-839-5057. They can do same day cancellations.

Automated system asked me for a pin, and I put the correct pin in, but it didn't accept it. Eventually connected me to a rep anyway. Make sure you have the pin because the rep will ask.

Thanks for the phone number. I was able to call and get it cancelled today. Going to drop off the gateway at a T-Mobile store to not have to deal with possible delays or lost in transit issues.

FYI, I've read conflicting information on whether they prorate or not if you're mid-cycle. I did NOT cancel auto-pay before cancelling (as some suggest) and I see they are debiting my checking account for the 2/23-3/23 bill.

I'm probably not going to make a stink about it, but hopefully they don't charge me in April. If they do, I'll fight both charges and ask for a pro-rated amount for the 2/23-3/23 bill.

I kind of regret giving them my checking account for the autopay discount as it only saved $10. I could have used my AMEX BCE and gotten that same $10 discount from their current cable/internet offer.

I didn't get mine prorated either. My bill was due on March 15th with an autopay date of March 13th, I cancelled on 3/5 (as soon as the virtual card funds were officially transferred to my bank account) and returned the gateway on 3/8.

The bill was issued on February 22nd and the bill states "charged in advance for bill period Feb 23 - Mar 22. Changes made after Feb 22 will be shown on the future bill." So I'm hoping there will be some credit posting to my next bill in about a week.

I already had autopay set up because I have cell phone service from them, but I don't think there will be a problem that can't be fixed if they do bill again since I have a paper receipt for returning the gateway to physical store and an emailing stating they received my return.

You received an email acknowledging your return? I got a paper return receipt from the store on 2-26, but no email. Paper receipt has the IMEI and service phone number, but not my name or address. Glad I have that in case they try to claim I didn't return it.

We'll see if they prorate for the "bill" that would come in March, and would be paid in April.

You have to specifically ask for same-day cancellation. Otherwise they will cancel it at the end of the billing cycle, like they do cellular plans.

If they did, you should see prorated charges on your next bill.

I think that's only if you call the wrong number and get mobile CS. I contacted home internet CS. I didn't specifically request same-day cancellation, but it was canceled same-day. Service was disconnected and couldn't log in that day.

I canceled about 3 days into the cycle. There was no prorating in either of our cases when there probably should have been. However, per our earlier discussion, maybe we'll see a credit next month.
