I received the phone and buds today. I chatted with T-Mobile via their website using a computer. The rep wrote to me:
I was skeptical so I contacted T-Mobile using Facebook Messenger. A different rep wrote the promo was applied (see quotes below):
No notifications yet. The $41.67 monthly EIP charge appeared on my account, but not the $33.34 credit.
Should I just contact tforce? I don't do social media so don't have a real account.

I ordered the pixel pro 9 xl with a trade in of s20 fe on simple choice. Phone was received on 11/26 and I send back the s20 fe , received 12/16, checked and promo applied on 12/17.
12/18 I got a text from TMobile saying my promo is canceled.
I chatted with a rep and now he is telling me there was no promo for a s20fe and I need to go to a store to further discuss this.
Really frustrated with TMobile right now.

Should I just contact tforce? I don't do social media so don't have a real account.
It showed processing credit for my 2nd trade in device, but I still got the credits after the bill generated on 20th. Some CSRs do not much about the credits and how they are processed. As long as you get the text saying it was received and processed, you are good. Don't read too much how it displays on the order history page.
12/23 delivered to TMo, according to UPS
12/24 TMo acknowledged receipt and processing via txt and email
12/26 Txt and email saying TMo is still waiting for trade-in (What???)
12/27 Full trade-in value $800 accepted (It better be! It was practically mint!)
Yeah, system has some coordinating issues.
A new bill was generated a couple of days ago and the amount is as expected, with the extra cost of the phone covered by the promotion. Will always watch this in case there's a snafu way after the fact.
I've done many of these trade-ins now with 20 years of service and my recommendation is you really need to watch these transactions like a hawk.
Past screwups by T-Mobile:
1. Handed a phone to a rep in a store, never got any confirmation online, was never marked as received, and it took a month+ to get sorted out.
2. Sent in a tradein phone and it was clearly received by UPS, but never accepted in the system. I have no doubt there are shady workers who just pocket phones in good condition upon receipt. It's an outsourced company that T-Mobile probably has no real control over.
3. Sent in a phone and it was marked as accepted and the promo started, then after a couple of days the promo was withdrawn. T-Force managed to fix that, AFTER I sent in video screengrabs of my shipping and wrapping it, with the IMEI clearly documented.
4. Several times now, the ubiquitous slamming/cramming of illegal addons by in-store reps to make their quotas. Watch to make sure there's no insurance product you never discussed. They are not above lying to make a sale and it is often condoned by management. "Oh, insurance is REQUIRED for any new phone" is an actual line given me by a sleezeball.
Good luck out there!
I ordered mine on Dec 5th, and at first, t-force said i only qualified for $500 since the $800 ended on dec 4th. it was a lot of back-n-forth until I found my order confirmation in my account that stated the offer was $800 with trade in. Now t-force is manually fixing it but in case it doesn't stick then they'd have to offer me a difference in credit.
So follow up with your bills.
By the way, I just got a Pixel 9 and 9 Pro XL. I didn't get the buds since i don't use in-ear buds. On hindsight, I should just get them since free was free
Dunno if I should ask t-force for them. Anyone tried recently?
EDIT: I just had another chat, now with T-Force via Facebook, and the rep told me she did add the promo and I should see it in my account in 24 hours tops. I hope she's not wrong and I just wasted my time chatting with support via the app

So, if somebody is having a hard time with CSRs in T-Life app or the web-site chat, I'd suggest to try messaging T-Force via FB or X. I didn't think it would work as I believed it's the same people and just a different communication channel, but apparently T-Force support is a completely different experience. I spent maybe 5 minutes and got the problem sorted out in one hour time frame. Compare that to multiple chats each dragging for 30+ minutes with endless promises that I would be taken care of and just needed to wait only a few more days as the enrollment request is being worked on, that didn't result in anything in almost two weeks
