Failed to mention Via 24 monthly bill credits like always!
I'm on simple choice and I qualified. Already traded in two phones. One for a 9 pro xl and one for a regular 9. If you go to the product page and try from there it's gonna keep trying to add a line for the promo. You have to go to the number's profile and select upgrade from there.

Sneaky bastards are trying to enroll me into ID240604 instead of ID240577. It's also a $800 off, but the catch is that S21 no longer qualifies under it (which I would've found out long after the return window is closed). Shame on you T-Mobile, you can do much better than that

Spent a few hours with representatives on the phone. I am transferring from Att to T-Mobile. On the last step when trying to place the order. The order was just immediately cancelled after it was placed. Already tried theee times after making sure all info was correct. It didn't tell the reason at all. The representative said there is nothing he can do. Did anyone have similar experience with T-Mobile? What could be wrong?

How did you reach out to T-Force? Facebook or X?

I received the phone and buds today. I chatted with T-Mobile via their website using a computer. The rep wrote to me:

I was skeptical so I contacted T-Mobile using Facebook Messenger. A different rep wrote the promo was applied (see quotes below):

No notifications yet. The $41.67 monthly EIP charge appeared on my account, but not the $33.34 credit.
My promotion had fallen off. I chatted with T-Mobile on Facebook Messenger and provided my promotion texts and emails. Rep added promotions back on and I was able to see it within 1 hour even though he said it could take up to next billing cycle. Good luck.

Simple Choice doesn't offer even $500 promo now
The $800 offer officially ended on 12/4 but some people were still able to place an order on the tlife app until 12/5.

First trade was easy but my second trade is running into issues. Order status shows they received my trade in and assessed the phone on December 17. The value of the promotion shows a blank unlike my first trade in that shows $800. Currently the line shows I owe the full monthly amount without the monthly reoccurring credit. I spoke to customer service on 611 and was told at first my plan did not qualify in till I pushed back and said it was (simple choice) as everything was done online and verified online before I submitted the order. Customer service rep checked and says they now see it and I should not worry because the bill was already generated so that's why bit doesn't show the $800 promo and monthly credit. Honestly it made no sense to me.

Should I just contact tforce? I don't do social media so don't have a real account.

You just message T-Mobile on Twitter/X. I'm also on SWAC/AP and this deal was available for our plans... I even did it on a free line (promo from a few years back)

Anyone have the promo id or a screen shot?
I ordered the pixel pro 9 xl with a trade in of s20 fe on simple choice. Phone was received on 11/26 and I send back the s20 fe , received 12/16, checked and promo applied on 12/17.
12/18 I got a text from TMobile saying my promo is canceled.
I chatted with a rep and now he is telling me there was no promo for a s20fe and I need to go to a store to further discuss this.
Really frustrated with TMobile right now.
Wow, very annoying. I have the text but not a screenshot:

It showed processing credit for my 2nd trade in device, but I still got the credits after the bill generated on 20th. Some CSRs do not much about the credits and how they are processed. As long as you get the text saying it was received and processed, you are good. Don't read too much how it displays on the order history page.

12/17 shipped on trade-in
12/23 delivered to TMo, according to UPS
12/24 TMo acknowledged receipt and processing via txt and email
12/26 Txt and email saying TMo is still waiting for trade-in (What???)
12/27 Full trade-in value $800 accepted (It better be! It was practically mint!)

Yeah, system has some coordinating issues.

Just a final (I hope) report of my experience. I ordered mine the Friday after Thanksgiving, received it early the next week. I returned my tradein to a local corporate store a week later. Did not receive a confirmation text but the receipt for the return was right on my account.

A new bill was generated a couple of days ago and the amount is as expected, with the extra cost of the phone covered by the promotion. Will always watch this in case there's a snafu way after the fact.

I've done many of these trade-ins now with 20 years of service and my recommendation is you really need to watch these transactions like a hawk.

Past screwups by T-Mobile:
1. Handed a phone to a rep in a store, never got any confirmation online, was never marked as received, and it took a month+ to get sorted out.
2. Sent in a tradein phone and it was clearly received by UPS, but never accepted in the system. I have no doubt there are shady workers who just pocket phones in good condition upon receipt. It's an outsourced company that T-Mobile probably has no real control over.
3. Sent in a phone and it was marked as accepted and the promo started, then after a couple of days the promo was withdrawn. T-Force managed to fix that, AFTER I sent in video screengrabs of my shipping and wrapping it, with the IMEI clearly documented.
4. Several times now, the ubiquitous slamming/cramming of illegal addons by in-store reps to make their quotas. Watch to make sure there's no insurance product you never discussed. They are not above lying to make a sale and it is often condoned by management. "Oh, insurance is REQUIRED for any new phone" is an actual line given me by a sleezeball.

Good luck out there!

Just a heads up for anyone ordering the Pixel 9 series after Dec 4th, you might have to contact t-force to have your promotion correctly enrolled or credited the difference.
I ordered mine on Dec 5th, and at first, t-force said i only qualified for $500 since the $800 ended on dec 4th. it was a lot of back-n-forth until I found my order confirmation in my account that stated the offer was $800 with trade in. Now t-force is manually fixing it but in case it doesn't stick then they'd have to offer me a difference in credit.

So follow up with your bills.

By the way, I just got a Pixel 9 and 9 Pro XL. I didn't get the buds since i don't use in-ear buds. On hindsight, I should just get them since free was free Frown
Dunno if I should ask t-force for them. Anyone tried recently?

Has anyone with Simple Choice had any luck with the promo added manually after reordering? I've had several chats with T-Mobile reps via the app who always told me to wait just a few more days for the promo to be added and I have a feeling that they are just running down the clock and not doing anything. Probably gonna just return the phone while I still can

EDIT: I just had another chat, now with T-Force via Facebook, and the rep told me she did add the promo and I should see it in my account in 24 hours tops. I hope she's not wrong and I just wasted my time chatting with support via the app

Got a text one hour later that my line was now eligible for the promotion and ID240577 also appeared in my EIP for that line. Yay! Going to the store tomorrow to drop off my trade-in.

So, if somebody is having a hard time with CSRs in T-Life app or the web-site chat, I'd suggest to try messaging T-Force via FB or X. I didn't think it would work as I believed it's the same people and just a different communication channel, but apparently T-Force support is a completely different experience. I spent maybe 5 minutes and got the problem sorted out in one hour time frame. Compare that to multiple chats each dragging for 30+ minutes with endless promises that I would be taken care of and just needed to wait only a few more days as the enrollment request is being worked on, that didn't result in anything in almost two weeks
