Nobody uses boot drives anymore

What I meant is it's for a laptop and will boot from this drive.

The "About this Product" part of this deal (not the OP's fault) lists the wrong item. It shows an MP33PRO, not the MP44Q.

As long as it doesn't short out the system board.

Does the laptop have an m.2 slot? If so yes it will boot from this drive, there isnt anything special about any SSD that makes it "bootable"
Yeah it does, DRAM and TLC

Forgive me if I'm misunderstanding what you're saying. Are you saying that in order to use a SSD as a boot drive it needs DRAM and needs to be TLC memory?

Just if you're being snobbish . Any NVME drive is bootable. Plenty of solid drives don't have these features either, but constant writes and such can possibly shorten the life of the drive.

We aren't back in the days of 64GB "boot drives" that only held windows with sandforce based controllers falling over and failing to boot when full.

If you are paranoid with these types of drives, know they have extra space included for wear leveling and you can add to this by under provisioning the formatted capacity of the drive by 5 to 20% or more.
