Nope. Just signed up. Tested on Furiosa Mad Max. Saw 8 ads across the film timeline. Each was at least 30 seconds long.

All I did.. went to MAX website.. signed in with my ID and password.. and got the offer for 6 months at 2.99 per month.. I am a returning subscriber.

Just put same ID and password on MAX app on Roku.. Done.

I have a previous 12mo ad-free plan from another offer back in March, and I went to cancel that to see what would be offered and this exact offer popped up for me as well as a current subscriber. It lets me maintain my current 12mo plan until that expires and then continue for 6 months at $2.99. Thanks OP

Yep, crazy to pay money to watch ads -- and so many of them. but vast majority of people just want it cheaper and gladly give up their privacy (data/tracking for ads) and time wasted viewing the ads to save a few bucks

Didn't work for me as an existing customer. I contacted the customer representative and they told me I'm not eligible. I cancelled my subscription and it didn't offer the $3 option.

6 months worked directly at the MAX site I re-subbed on an existing account that was already cancelled last year when I got the half price yearly deal (next payment due Jan 19th), with no deal to resub, and immediately I cancelled and got the deal $3/month for 6 months to start on Jan 19th. The commercials are really mild shown 1st before viewing the movie, and not horrible such as Disney or Peacock.
