Maybe it's just me but the quality coming out of even the USA assembled hasn't been great. Lots of QC issues with fender. I even heard from a buddy that used to work at one of the stores, Strat came with a tele neck. Gibson and fender are hit or miss nowadays.

They do that on purpose, it's called the mischief maker. Sure it wasn't that?
Yup, I have made a vow to myself to pull the trigger on that one when it if it gets to a grand. I'm almost glad it's not included, I think I could have talked myself into it for an extra 80 bucks 😁😁😁
I think its just the component quality and maybe workmanship/craftsmanship? *generally speaking* the US made guitars should be of higher quality all around. But the guitars coming out of various parts of Asia are pretty darned impressive these days
I have a pro II. The build quality is excellent. This is a good deal.
This is a very good deal. I have one and it is an excellent guitar. The fit and finish are really nice. It has the silent single coils, a push pull to you can run the neck and bridge pick up. The neck took some getting used to for me, but it's pretty flawless with rolled off edges. I got a good deal a few years ago, but this is a better one. They are like 15-1600 at GC.
I've ordered from them a brand new guitar and was sent a used one. I was charged 5% restocking and had to pay for shipping. I'll never order from them again.

It's been this way for a while imo. Gibson has always been godawful. Still a great deal, but I personally always need to play the exact guitar I'm buying first.
For qc, prs korea world music supply and s2, and made in japan guitars have been the best imo. I'm not the biggest fan of the prs se since moving to indonesia despite reviews. It has more to do with the price point. I also haven't played that many guitars post covid.
