I was able to get free shipping when ordering both pen. if you add both the pen in offer it makes order for free shipping, at checkout apply the coupon, the price goes down to $25 with free shipping. key is to remove the coupon code from cart before adding the pen.

Dang, last year they also had a free shipping code that stacked FREESH. Doesn't look like it is working for this current year.

Edit: the free shipping code stacked on thanksgiving day last year. So you can roll the dice and see if the same will work this year.

Lamy Safari and even the AL-Star are good entry level fountain pens to see if you enjoy them. Some things to keep in mind, the nibs (the metal points) can be switched out for different sizes. The medium nib is a good start because its not to pointy that it feels scratchy. I personally like the 1.5mm calligraphy nib to add some flair in your penmanship. The safari caps are known to feel loose when capped. You can mod it if it really bothers you but it doesn't make a huge difference in my opinion.

If you're new to FPens I would easily recommend the Platinum Preppys (on amazon for ~$6). Get the ones with the Slip and seal caps.

These Lamys are just ok though. I found them on the bulky-side & rarely use mine.
