That's not deceptive. Why do you think you would get to keep the credit if you returned the device? Pretty much all retailers do that when there's a bonus gift card or credit attached to a purchase.

I clicked the "redeem" button and it said "redeemed". But I see no indication after checkout that I actually get the credit.

Target
Best Buy

I drop $100 easy on Amazon a month, probably a lot more than that if I actually looked. With the holidays right now too….that $75 is already earmarked.

The terms and conditions say you should get an email indicating the promo credit amount when it gets sent to your account. I am also waiting for this. If for whatever reason this doesn't happen, at least we have the free return option.

Keep in mind that you lose the "promotional credit" if you return the item that you bought using them (similar to using coupons).

Would have liked a Q3 but not gonna spend $550 w/ tax to potentially collect dust. This is the right price for my first VR headset. The IR helps perform well in low light. Not sure Q3 is worth double. I'll wait for Q4 in 2 years. I'll jump on the 3S for now. Costco may have $50 of $400 but the Q3 is still double. Then you have to buy a strap, link cable & rechargeable batteries for the controller. Silicone facial interface, prescription lenses, etc. it adds up quick.

Well I'd rather have from Amazon but also ordered from target just in case the Amazon credit was a lie.
