I looked into this laptop and it has a lot of great things going for it. Great screen, keyboard, port selection. CPU strong enough for most things and spec'd with tons of RAM.
Big downside is the battery life. This AMD version has a smaller battery than the intel variant, and its just not gonna last very long as it's a last gen chip. If you mainly need a workstation laptop and this will be docked most of the time, it seems a sweet deal.
For me I do want really good battery life so it's not for me unfortunately.
I bought this laptop, I felt like I really scored for $830 .. but returned it in the end (I don't return many things)
The keyboard and mousepad were not at all what I am used to in a Thinkpad. The space bar rattled loudly and the mousepad was loose-feeling. I am typing on a T14 Gen 1 right now and the keyboard / mousepad are solid and nearly silent. I also have a T480 in the garage on my workbench and that keyboard is the best, I think it's 1.8mm travel and feels great .. and quiet.
Also, the top of the keyboard area got quite hot during non-demanding use.
The pros were:
1. Nice display panel. The colours and blacks are of course fantastic with OLED. The brightness was fine at 400 nits, but the screen much more reflective than IPS panels from Lenovo. It wasn't as good in sunlight as my T14 Gen1.
2. Great specs. I do use the 64gb RAM and it came with it. Sure, it could have been faster RAM, but it was good enough for me.

Apart from that, this is a terrific value for someone looking for a work laptop.
