got one of these from the woot for sale for $649 a couple weeks ago, RIP me lmao.

It's a freaking beast and you won't beat the performance for this price, and it looks gorgeous.

Considering this is just 1 tier above the 7800XT (I consider the 7900GRE to be a half-tier) and the 7800XT is sitting at a full two-hundred-dollars less than this I would be shocked if they don't drop the 7900XT lower. I'm convinced these will drop into the $500 range.

They will. But I didn't want to wait another year for that to happen.

I mean Intel is supposedly announcing their next-gen cards in December, and both AMD and Nvidia are announcing theirs in January. I think we'll see some steeper discounts before the announcement from AMD in January because they've openly stated they're targeting the more-affordable mainstream next-gen and they'll have a harder time selling the 7900XT for the same price as a next-gen card that has similar performance, better ray-tracing, and better power-efficiency.

Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if the XTX dips below $700 before the announcement.
