We have a bunch of APC ones. Eventually the batteries all go to shit. APC branded replacements are insanely expensive, if they even sell it.

We have found that this company (below link) usually has something that is compatible. And the battery lifespan tends to last much much longer than the original one and are very high quality. We use them for CyberPower ones as well
Whatever you do, don't buy Mighty Max batteries from Amazon, they truly don't last

Replacement and Recycling of Batteries:
This product is specified as "non-user replaceable battery) but this is not true. It's just that it's not super cost-effective combined with only "1-year" warranty on battery replacements vs. 3-year warranty on new units. So Schneider Electric (the manufacturer) recommends trashing the whole unit.

HOWEVER, you can easily find battery replacements online and some are quite good.
Cost is $20-30 for a battery. I consider that cost effective.

Replacement/installation requires a long, Philips-head screwdriver. That's all.

Make sure you have a long, about 10 inches phillips screwdriver. The screws are all the way down a really small hole at bottom of unit. The screwdriver has to be really thin also to get to the screw. I had to go and buy one.

Paypal has 5% coupon. Chase Freedom has 5% back for Paypal this quarter. Just use your Chase card for Paypal choice. Not sure how the 5% Paypal works, but the Chase one is usually solid.

450VA is $40. This size works good to power my cable modem and router.

I've used this size to keep my router and modem running during outages before and they worked great for a couple of hours. Grabbing a few more. Also perfect for charging phones and other small devices.

Page 9 of the user manual: "The battery in the Back-UPS is not user-replaceable. Contact SEIT Technical Support for a list of authorized service centers near you."
I have a UPS from CyberPower that also had a battery that was not user replaceable. But the replacement was easy, just required a special screwdriver bit. Does anybody know what the situation is with this APC UPS?

I have had similar slimline UPS from APC and --assuming it can be replaced---the battery is thinner, and much more expensive for the smaller/thinner battery. Like 3x the cost of the standard rectangular UPS battery. Something to consider.

Idk much about backup powers as far as size. Im running a home server nasa kinda deal. Just want this mostly to be able send a signal to my server to shutdown.

I have this - I wouldn't use this for a PC or server since it doesn't have a USB but it's really convenient for a router + modem since keep them up forever and the small profile means it'll fit in a small closet network closet if you have one
