Also to point out, the SPECS on the Office Depot website say this doesn't have a backlit keyboard but other websites that are selling this laptop say that it does. Office Depot is notorious for having wrong specs.
I have my doubts... why would anything, particularly under 100 watts be a barrel jack in this day and age?! 3usb A's, full size hdmi and ONE usb-c is clinically insane. Surprised it doesn't have a vga port.

Anyone buy this and have confirmation on backlit keyboard?
These have one SODIMM Slot that is usually occupied by half the memory. In other words, 8GB is soldered, and the slot is filled with 8GB. So, yes, you can replace the 8GB with a 16GB for 24GB. I'm not sure if it supports a 32GB stick or not. Asus isn't really clear.

This is the F1504VAP model and Asus says, it has a backlit chiclet keyboard.
From the looks of the spec page, they took a design that goes back to 12th Gen Intel and they updated it for the Core Ultra 1st gen. Asus must have had excess chassis parts for the older design.

Funny, I work for a school and they got laptops for the teachers that have1 USB-A and 2 USB C's. There were so many complaints that they had to buy converters for everyone to change one of the USB-C's to a USB-A. There are still too many things that use USB-A and most people still need them.

I took it as those are a list of options you can get on those models. If you look it lists several speaker, keyboard and color options. I do not believe this is backlit and not willing to take the chance seeing they have it listed as not.

I see your point now. Also, if you click on the purchase link from Asus, which I assume is probably the same exact model that Office Depot is selling, it doesn't mention backlighting.
Bottom line, there seem to be lots of options for a $499 Asus Vivobook or Zenbook right now. Pick your poison: Snapdragon X, AMD Ryzen, or Intel Core Ultra? Best Buy has several options for their Cyber sale right now.
