I haven't come across a reason to upgrade beyond 16GB, but this is damn near "why the heck not" territory. Hmm...

It's an OK deal.(If you're on that older platform) With tariff's incoming, i think this would be awesome deal.

Their 64gb kit does look more appetizing for my future home server needs.

I keep going back and forth on upgrading from 16GB (3200 CL16). I currently have a 5700X3D paired with a 6800XT and 16GB of RAM has been enough so far but that may change soon. Trying to not put any more $ into this system but this upgrade may be worth doing, even if this system is strictly used for gaming.

Thoughts?

Would this be good for my build? I have AMD 5700X3D and MSI B450 Tomahawk.

Perfect for your build! I would know I have the exact same setup.
Are the sticks limited to 3466Mhz or were you able to get 3600?

That would entirely depend on your motherboard. Every motherboard will only allow certain speeds and specs. For XMP with Intel or DOCP with amd

For example if your gonna install these into a Dell or HP prebuilt gaming pc, forget about it, your gonna get the same speed that system was designed to run no matter how fast the ram you install

My fault I thought you said you had the b450 tomahawk Max. The non Max version is limited to 3466MHz.

I was playing around with some Corsair vengeance 3200 kit recently. And my recollection was, it wouldn't accept the DOCP settings right away. I had to disable my existing DOCP settings. Restart the computer a couple times, load windows, see task manager show the 2133 or 2666 speed. Then restart back into bios, enable DOCP settings and set the flck infinity fabric to half the speed of the ram (if you don't know what that means it's a complicated way of saying it's going to run the correct speed) after that I rebooted. Went to windows and I saw the 3200 full speed.

I had read and heard horror stories of people struggling to get DOCP to run on their system but I think it's because people were skipping steps, or they were trying to install this ram into some weird obscure motherboard or terrible prebuilt system. I was running a ASUS B550 tuf gaming motherboard and all was fine and dandy.

Sounds like a good match for what you have. You can even bump it to 4000 in the bios without much hassle if you want to squeeze a bit more out of it

Do you know if these are dual rank sticks? If not, could you run CPU-z to find out? I'm getting a mITX board with only 2 RAM slots and apparently that makes a difference.
