This is a Linux-based device, which some people prefer over Android. It's way worse than a decent phone when it comes to power. This thing struggles with many PSP games.

The list price is also a straight up lie. These are regularly found around the $50 area.

Honestly, is there any reason this is better than say a good phone with those controllers connected to the sides?

Is it all the same software?

Seems the minimum thresholds have all been bumped up for the Black Friday sale compared to the recent 11/11 sale. It's now $9 off $49, $15 off $89, $25 off $159, and $60 off $299; i.e. RHH9/KATE9/EPRT9, etc. (just replace the "9" with 15, 25 or 60).

I have this and enjoy it for retro games and saving time with those is why I went with it. I throw it in for roadtrips and flights. Once you hit Dreamcast or PSP level games it can struggle a bit. Hardware wise I have not had any issues, and for the price the screen is very nice. But if you have an Android, spending $20 more for a decent game controller converter might be the way to go. If I had to do it over again one of those paired with our kids penalty Pixel 4 would be the way I'd go.

I'm not sure what you're planning to do with this thing, but the CPU is totally capable of retro gaming, and I don't even care if my retro gaming device has WiFi or not.

What does 2.4 GHZ wifi have anything to do with a retro game machine? You don't need Wifi 7 to play SNES games.
