I have a pair of UVEX that aren't very comfortable. The 3 pack of Milwaukee is great but the nose pieces come off and go missing making them less comfortable. In for 1 to try. Can never have enough around the shop.

These are quite comfortable and don't interfere with your vision. Not sure how effective they are.

Why does it say 12 pair? I'm guess we aren't going to get 12 of them.

I saw that, but don't see it now. Guessing it's just one pair.

I like these and they seem to hold up pretty well. Mine are scratched to hell after years of use. Would recommend.

You need the pay someone else to do that job pair of goggles.

Honestly, you at the least need more of a hazmat style, like 7th grade chemistry class. You don't want ones that look like normal reading glasses. But even my opinion is not certain. I would do a lot of research for the right protection. Not something to mess around with and gamble to find out $4 savings means long term health issues.

I already drilled a hole in a door for a deadbolt that I later found out was painted with lead paint, and now these comments are making me nervous... (I did not have gloves or mask on for the deadbolt installation)

As long as you didn't eat large quantities of the dust, you'll be just fine.

Hire a pro. Doing this wrong will cost you a lot more money and your health/families health. Not worth it. There is a time to be slick, and a time to say 'could this cause neurological damage".

The issue is all about getting quantities of lead into your system, by breathing or ingesting dust. If you sanded for an hour and sent a bunch of dust into the air and then breathed it in, that would have a small negative impact on your health. Do it more, the impact is larger. Do it daily for years, you would likely die early or develop neurological issues.
But unless you licked the dust, drilling one hole is simply not enough to do anything to you.
