Currently sold out, but just a heads up should these come back into stock:
The original run of these had an issue that was declared a firmware issue and Meta stopped selling them for a while. Meta started a "voluntary recall" in late 2023 since a lot of units were dying unexpectedly and the firmware could not be updated by the consumer. Units with a mfg date before December 2023 likely have this issue and it is presumed that dates in 2024 are fixed but no one is quite sure. A lot of information about this is available on Reddit. I only know this because I was able to find an old-stock unit at a Target about a month ago ($35 clearance) and found myself dealing with one of these flakey old stock units.
I would assume is that Tanga wound up with some retailer's inventory of old stock first run elite battery straps that probably should have been sent back to Meta. Of course, I could be wrong and these could be second run units.
If you manage to get one of these and find out it is a first run, reach out to Meta right away if you have a problem. If you have a first run unit it isn't a problem, just a hassle: Meta will exchange it for you, but it will take some back and forth with customer support, you'll need to send them a receipt (is Tanga an authorized vendor?), you'll have to ship the unit back (they cover shipping cost), and Meta will eventually send you a new model replacement.
