T-mobile has a hidden plan for 30GB data a month data plan (you get your own sim and need your own device).

I got a cellular modem for $40: https://www.netgear.com/home/mobile-wifi/lte-modems/lm1200/ [netgear.com] and was able to use it with T-mobile's provided sim card.

Call in or use their online chat to inquire about the "Basic Mobile Internet 30GB plan (SOC: MI30TE or MI30TI)". It is $15/mo but you get a $5/mo discount by using autopay.

If you can't repro then you suck. This also provides you with a phone number for the data account and you get access to t-mobile tuesdays despite it only being a data plan Smilie

probably device related. I'm using it in my S24+ and getting same speeds as post-paid plans

I was able to chat with T-Mobile support and they did a network reset and the speed did improve for me but it is still 2-3mbps upload. I will call them again in a couple days as they said some maintenance is going on in my location.
Btw is this a prepaid or post paid plan?
I am 3 days into this plan and my bill got generated with a due date of 12/27. And it says different things. Online it says $10 is for billing period 11/06-12/06 but the pdf says 12/06-01/06. Which is correct?

I think so. But just say ipad. Means nothing and it's for reference for them to sell stuff.

If youre in thr San Francisco region. 1600 El Camino does not have a tmobile rep. South airport blvd does. The rep was able to find the plan and the bogo deal but needed assistsncr from a manager on the phone.

also, after thr transactiom, the rep will dirrct you to a promotions site to claim your 25 dollar costco gift card for each line. takes 3 to 4 weeks to process.

did this yesterday, may need to refer the rep to their manager if they cant find it. tell them to search for the code.

Yes, I did. I called support number from another line and asked them if they can add HD pass to my line. Initially she said, she won't be able to add it but after 15mins staying on the call, the rep was able to add it.

Always mention the SOC code and then verify yourself

You can call Costco # and get this deal but for business plan they ask you to visit kiosk. I believe Costco # is consumer line

Placed the order for two lines via T-Mobile chat, was not charged upfront. I wonder once I received the SIM cards, how long could I wait until I activate them... Really I won't have a use case in the next few months lol!

T-Mobile website says you can suspend the line up to 90 days twice a year.

I'm thinking about getting this for someone as they don't really use internet that much. They already have a post paid wireless plan with T-Mobile. Any good hotspot device to buy besides those on their web site? How is this different from the home internet plans?
