Serious question, what do you have against touchscreens? I've grown to appreciate them but don't know what the pitfalls are.
You can simply disable the touchscreen.

"Maximum RAM Supported: 16 GB"
I'm guessing it's soldered to the motherboard. That said, 16 GB is decent for most purposes besides gaming.

touchscreens are more delicate and hence more prone to failure. currently i have a laptop whose touchescreen went bad after 2 ft tall stack of cloths was kept on top of it for a few weeks. it does not display anything but touch part work. so i have to use an external monitor and use "mirror" option else i can't login.
Theoretically, it could be a coincident. the laptop was bought brand new several years ago for $1200.

For me processor is the most important aspect of laptop, it does all the computing and you can't replace it. This processor has a 14800 multi-thread rating. a month ago for $431 there was a Dell 15"with Ryzen 7730U, which has a 18600 rating.
i feel like prices are about same or higher than 1-2 months ago. businesses jack up prices before holidays so that they claim a big discount during holidays.
from accounting perspective, businesses have no incentive to boost sale now with discounts. may be they try to sell as much as possible during BF/CM and then give further discount in late Dec to get rid of remaining inventory, before closing the books.

Maybe next time try stacking the laptop on top of the clothes? Big Grin
