it says that it got 24gb graphics memory, so I assume it is 4090 in there

Technically a decent deal considering a 4090 goes for 2 grand itself, so if you need one go ahead but man I can't see spending $2800 and getting 16gb of RAM and a 1TB Nvme drive. Credit where credit is due though, this is a lot cheaper than pretty much any other 4090 system! Not gonna hate the player, just going to hate the game. Good deal OP!

I was thinking the same first and considered alienware r16 for $2700, which has more ram and storage, but inclined towards buying omen 45l for the upgradibility in future and for the cryochamber. The r16 has no upgradable mobo and psu.

I don't think you know what you're talking about. The 4090 is $2k right now only because they stopped making them before the 5000 series announcement.
Even if you count it as $2k there's only about $500 worth of other components.

It's a shit deal on a shit PC.

Does it still count as a deal, even if every order was cancelled for bullshit reasons because Lenovo are scumlords who didn't want to honor a coupon?

FWIW I got this exact machine a year ago from HP directly via slickdeals for ~$2450. It did require convincing an agent to allow the coupon to stack with EPP to get there, though, and while some others found success with it, not everyone did.

Looks like this price is available on HP site, may be worth trying to stack with EPP?

ETA: yep, looks like $2729 on HP's site with EPP

How did you make the EPP code work? When I applied mine, it gave me a message: The coupon code you have entered is not applicable for products in the cart

You have to copy the code from the email you get, click the "shop" button next to it, and order from there (I think). Btw, and maybe this is old news to everyone, but I was not able to stack the employee and student discounts. Heartbreaking.
