Friends don't let friends buy Westinghouse. Please don't. I speak from experience of being burned twice. They are trash. Find any other cheap brand, it will be better.
I have the 70" version of this. Similar to this TV - it'll be perfectly fine for the majority of owners, and it's a great deal (the 70" was $300 last year at Target BF deal).
It's only been a year, but I've had zero issues so far.

Yep. I bought a 40" Westinghouse about 12 years ago, when I had never owned an HD TV before, and thought, "Ooo. Westinghouse has been around forever. $250 for a 40" 1080p TV is great!" Then years later, when I actually learned about TVs, I learned that Westinghouse is an absolute joke. They join the ranks of Philips, JVC, Toshiba, Sharp and whatever other brands used to be big back in the day, that no one should be buying in 2024.

Never had Westinghouse but have had budget level TVs like Coby, sekai, Hiteker, dynex, tcl, insignia, Hisense not the best quality pictures but decent enough TVs at the time when bought
Paid the same for a 36in CRT 25 years ago, the world is changing. This falls under the good category
Paid $3500 for a 60" Hitachi flat screen/tube tv pre 2000. . Was when they first started to slim down and eliminate the big boxed cabinet enclosures but weren't quite there yet. Still running strong on same bulb
