6th Avenue is not an authorized Sony reseller. No warranty if you buy this.

Is there an easy way to find which items from the seller qualify for the discount code?

This link [ebay.com] has all of their items eligible for the 20% coupon.
For future reference, if you want to check a particular ebay seller/store, you can click on their store page, head to the about section and you will find the seller's ID, in this case, 6ave.
Then you can head to the coupon link, scroll down on the left sidebar to More refinements, choose Seller, and include 6ave and apply. Now it should only show items sold by that seller/store!

No warranty from Sony at least. Description still states it has a year warranty.

If you're talking about this then this type of warranty is pretty much worthless. A major chunk of repair costs in the US is labor costs. And all you get here is just 90 days.

Quote :
Our New products are covered by a warranty of 1 year parts and 90 days of labor when the manufacture does not apply.

And it's really annoying that literally the ONLY THING DIFFERENT is the sensor, which by now adds to Sony's incremental cost as the manufacturer by PENNIES. Yet the FX3 costs -- not ironically -- X3 times as much.

If Sony behaved more like Blackmagic -- who price things as low as they possibly can to democratize products and accrue good will -- they'd stop alienating and angering their reluctant customers.

And profitable, in the hands of corporate executives who aren't getting greasy about this year's bonus, and thinking about long-term prospects instead.

I am still amazed that people care so much about warranty. When is the last time you had to send in a camera to the manufacturer for warranty repair? If the price difference is large enough, why not add 3rd party warranty? Japanese yen had depreciated so much that it costs $40 for a full day lift ticket in Hokkaido while it costs $200 in Vermont. You find plenty of Japanese camera shops selling on eBay shipping internationally because they can get more money doing so.

I asked a friend to buy me a brand new Sigma FP L body, it cost me $1300. B&H still list it for $2500. So what if it doesn't have US Warranty?
