I have the Allpa 35L and it's been great as my only bag for trips all over the world. It fits under seats in cabins (it's tight on some planes) but big enough to take everything for a couple weeks (if you pack light). Note that this is the old version of the pack - they released an updated version that addressed my biggest complaints - the new one has a water bottle holder and a quick access pocket for sunglasses.

Those are really good prices on the Cotopaxi if they are the color combos you are happy with. $100 for a 28L backpack that retails for $180 is dang nice.

Just paid a lot more for a similar bag from REI. Ugh. (and no, I'm not going to return it)

Very good price for a great bag. I use the Allpa 42L as a carry on and it's big enough that I don't have to check a bag.

Why not? REI has a 1-year return policy for a reason!

This is an amazing deal. Personally I'm not into the Cotopaxi style and it's been trending so much that I'm even less into it, but many people people love the look including my wife and other family and these bags are really good quality, consistent NYT wirecutter pic.

But also this style of pack isn't for everyone - I travel a lot on larger international flights and would hate to carry my carryon on my back all the time, I prefer a 4wheel carry on and a small backpack with luggage loop so it can fit over the handle. To me that's the best way to travel.. But if you're doing a trip and moving your stuff from hotel to hotel etc.. The 4 wheel luggage might suck compared to the ability to put it on your back.

How's the laptop compartment area? My biggest complaint with the MCL Black Hole is how much space is lost the to the laptop compartment. At most I will have an ipad in there.

Got the Luzon for the family. Great daypacks, nothing fancy. Thanks!
