i bought this last week and am really happy. The firetv interface is snappy (and has lots of space left after putting my apps on it). It also pairs well with the hisense 5.1 sound bar offer yesterday.

Wow nice find. They dropped the price lower than what they advertised in the Black Friday brochures

...maybe to match Best Buy? Or the manufacturer allowed retailers to lower the advertised prices

It is black friday after all, not really suspicious that they are trying to drum sales. if anything it seems like sales overall are pretty weak compared to past years, there are practically no actual 'worth lining up for' sales any more. they put some ok sales out the week before and call it a day,

Two 55" TVs for $170 each is pretty solid considering that these are quantum dot. Sister in law has it and bang for buck, some of the best colors for a TV this price. Last year we got her something similar from Costco for $238 if I recall.

Definitely don't buy TCL tv's. those things lag so bad you'll want to return it 10 minutes after setting it up. Hisense experiences issues with Netflix frequently, if you're not constantly on Netflix, then you'll be fine.
