For some reason, this took a little bit of work. I've had two previous accounts that I've been canceled, but I wouldn't give me the offer so I had to use an alternate email address and alternate credit card as well to get the offer to work.

The CEO just let slip on an earnings call that Disney makes more profit on the ad-supported version so the ad-free price was increased to drive people to the ad-supported version.

Every year I cancel after about 6 months because the amount of ads discourages watching, and every year I renew to relearn the lesson. They even put ads before movie trailers!

Hulu needs a deal on ad-free memberships, because even $1/month with ads isn't very appealing.

I think you will have to create a new account, but your current account should work again to renew at the discounted price next year, so you basically just have to alternate between two accounts.

Deal shows up but when I click on get this deal, it takes me to a page to charge $9.99 per month! Wtf

I guess this is like yesterday where their system is warming up or something and deal could be acquired little later in the day.
