For some reason, this took a little bit of work. I've had two previous accounts that I've been canceled, but I wouldn't give me the offer so I had to use an alternate email address and alternate credit card as well to get the offer to work.

The CEO just let slip on an earnings call that Disney makes more profit on the ad-supported version so the ad-free price was increased to drive people to the ad-supported version.

Finally got it with an old account. Hulu would not verify the 6-digit code they kept emailing me, so I had to go to MyDisney Account and reset my password there, then go back to Hulu and login using the new password and old email.
99 cents per month is a good deal in my opinion. Now paying extra for disney...no way!

This might be worth it now that the election is over you won't get unrelenting political ads.

I have Hulu with ads ($0.99/month) from last November with the Disney Plus with ads add-on (for $2/month).

I canceled Hulu, but I'm not sure if that cancels the Disney Plus subscription also.

The email says: "This is confirmation that your Hulu subscription will be canceled."

First time hearing about this, and this is a yearly thing? I've been missing out! So how does this work, I have to cancel my subscription next November before my rate goes up since it's month by month basis?

Yes, it has been an annual think, I usually do the $2.99 deal which is Hulu and Disney plus combo. Yes, next year make sure you cancel at least 30 days before your renewal

Hulu's ad services have become less reliable over the last few months. Example: during The Old Man ads would run and then stall. A countdown timer would display and at the end of the countdown the show wouldn't start again. Exiting Hulu and then resuming, the show wouldn't resume at the point the ads started, requiring lots of manual rewind and fast-forward which would sometimes start new ads and a repeat of the lost resume point. This continued for weeks before I finally cancelled because more ads than show content was being streamed.
I know what you are talking about. Here is a trick that I did. Don't try to resume from your streaming device like chromecast or firestick that you are using. Go to your hulu app on your phone and then play your show and it will resume at the EXACT location where your show got stuck in an "ad loop". After that, cast from your phone to your device to play your show. This happened to me like 3 times in the past year but they must have fixed the bug with an app update as it has been a very long time since that happened again. You gotta update the hulu app. I use firestick and chromecast.

Watching Hulu with ads is a torture like no other. Is there a good ad blocking solution?

Even at $1 a month, imo it is still a waste of $1 lol. I suppose if you completely cord cut it might be worth all the never ceasing, repeating ads, but honestly with the total garbage on TV these days, I just can't see paying for ads along with it.

My 2 cents.

I agree. Never going back to paying for a service with ads. If forced, I would just read some books instead.

Any chance we could get them to take the discount off of the "No Ads" plans?

It's the gift that keeps on giving Clark.

Used my current email account and didn't work. Used the +hulu gmail account from last last deal didn't work either. Chatted with Hulu and they said to cancel today and re-try Friday and the deal should work. So I'll wait a few more days to see if it will work before making a 3rd email.

I was sharing an account with a friend who had the ad free version but that ended and I still need to finish Over Achiever!
