For some reason, this took a little bit of work. I've had two previous accounts that I've been canceled, but I wouldn't give me the offer so I had to use an alternate email address and alternate credit card as well to get the offer to work.

The CEO just let slip on an earnings call that Disney makes more profit on the ad-supported version so the ad-free price was increased to drive people to the ad-supported version.

Meh on ads... When the ads come I just go grab something to eat or I surf on my phone.

The way they have retained the same price makes me think they make more money from subscribers watching ads than those not watching them.

My Capital One card has $1 back. So there's 12 months for the price of 11 assuming you still get it on a 0.99 charge.

It's the gift that keeps on giving Clark.

Used my current email account and didn't work. Used the +hulu gmail account from last last deal didn't work either. Chatted with Hulu and they said to cancel today and re-try Friday and the deal should work. So I'll wait a few more days to see if it will work before making a 3rd email.

Did you try using a new alias entirely for your Gmail account (+hulutwo)? That worked for me. It is better than making an entirely new email account at least.

Yes. Companies are willing to pay more money for advertisements than consumers are willing to pay for products.

The old model was they made nothing from consumers and it was all from advertisers (OTA). They also didn't get any real data (other than Nielsen surveys) back then. Now, they get a pile of data they can sell/use...and we pay for them to get it.

So if I click on get this deal and it takes me to a page showing $10.99 that means my account is not eligible?

Copy the link, then open an Ingognito window (Ctrl/Shift N), then paste that link and go. Use a different email address (and possibly a different credit card).

Hulu and Disney have the longest ads per show. It's insane. Even if you fast forward, you still have to watch the full duration of skipped ads.

For my sanity and value of my time and utility, I'm opting for the $20 no ad duo.

I'll make up for the added cost by not clicking on some of the deals on SD the next 12 months 🤣🤣

Yeah, I tried the ads version of Hulu before and we just stopped watching because it really ruins the viewing experience.
I ended up getting the max, hulu, Disney no ads bundle and it's so much nicer. Pricier but you can get immersed when watching.

Since it doesn't appear that I can add this to an existing subscription, if I cancel my subscription, will I be able to activate immediately again using the same account or will I need to create a whole new account?

It says "have not subscribed for last month"
