For some reason, this took a little bit of work. I've had two previous accounts that I've been canceled, but I wouldn't give me the offer so I had to use an alternate email address and alternate credit card as well to get the offer to work.

The CEO just let slip on an earnings call that Disney makes more profit on the ad-supported version so the ad-free price was increased to drive people to the ad-supported version.

I'd like to hear their specific method too. I enjoy Hulu ad-free on my PC thanks to browser extensions but when it comes to smart TVs I have not found a DNS-level adblocker that works well enough to apply at the router level. Everything I've researched comes with caveats and annoyances that make it more of a hassle than just suffering through the ads.
Which extension works for you?

I started using Pie Adblock from the creator of Honey and it blocks Hulu extremely well. It outright removes the ads

Any trick for existing subscribers without using new email addresses as this will lose my watch history?

I know this works with Gmail. I don't know about other emails. With Gmail, you could use the same email address by using a + sign . For example, instead of [email protected], you could use [email protected]. When an email is sent, Gmail would ignore the "+hulu", but it could be used for a different Hulu account.

Thank you! That works if I watch on my computer. I still get ads if I use my chromecast to the tv, so I will be watching on the computer!

I've an offer/benefit on my Amex blue cash to credit $7 monthly for any subscription of $9.99 and over. If you are an existing Hulu user and have Amex offer then it is same as this annual promo. ymmv

And the rotation of emails continues into year 5(?).

Don't forget, if you got another deal (can't remember why but I have 6 more months somehow), you can pause your subscription for 12 weeks at a time and it will keep the "year of .99" until it starts up.

Wished the ad-free went on sale. Hulu ads are absolutely unbearable. We had it free with our phone plans and I never watched it because of the insufferable ads.

I got the Disney + deal I logged into it but I can't seemed to log into Hulu. I see Disney plus now has a Hulu button in the app. Is that the only way access Hulu? I cannot use the dedicated Hulu app?

That's kind of a strange question. Are you asking if a 6yo would find more stuff on Disney+ than on Hulu?
Yeah, thinking if it's worth it for him that we pay extra to get Disney. I did it regardless, knowing some classics movies are on there. He'd enjoy them.

Got this plus the 99 cents Starz for one year. I'll pay $3.98/mo for all 3 for a year. Definite slick deal

I signed up for the Hulu deal. Decided to cancel. However, it says in big red letters: Your subscription will be canceled Cancel Date: 01/08/26. WTF? How do I cancel NOW?
