The standing post that clamps to the edge of the desktop is centered under the speaker platform and cannot be cantilevered.
Buyer beware that this can't be mounted in any scenario where the edge of the desk used for mounting is close to a wall.
Other then that limitation it could be a good solution and good deal for any desk not against a wall.
