the best way to check pre-purchase is on the device's box. There is a string of characters starting with M and ending either in LL/A or LW/A. The former has pulse oximetry, and the latter does not.
LL/A = has SpO2
LW/A = has SpO2 DISABLED

It does not have blood oxygen enabled. Warranty is through March.
Probably will return and get a Series 10 from Costco.
I bought In July from this seller.
Came:
- brand new, I can't tell if it was used.
- bands are not the original (the blue one) but seller included the original silicon grey.
- battery is 100%.
- I was able to put apple care since once I installed my login, it told me I have x amount of day to set it up, I don't remember but same as new.
- was not on original box.

Took awhile to setup and update but once I got through the setup process it's been smooth sailing.
As others have stated it's a plain box with 3rd party band and charger. I've used the band some (got an Alpine Loop) and it seems fine quality if someone wanted to just stick with it. I went ahead and purchased an officially supported charger for every day use and will probably only use the included one for travel. Can't speak to its quality.
I'd for sure purchase again. Oh one last point, I went with a "less popular" band assuming maybe I'd have higher odds of getting a working Blood Oxygen sensor. Now that I've received it, I don't think that makes any difference. The bands don't come attached. I'm pretty sure they just have already packaged and ready to go boxes with the ultra 2 and just toss in whatever band you pick when it's purchased. It's all luck of the draw.
Also -- apparently something broken with the wrist detection sensors. it sleeps after 15 seconds even when it's sitting on my wrist and reverts to "nightstand mode" -- after which I have to manually unlock. My phone isn't unlocking it either.
This one's going back. Hope you guys have better luck.

However, I believe the majority is disabled since this model is newer.
