Thanks for the heads up.

I think you would be comparing this to what is to come from McDonald's and Burger King. Technically, we are still in Thanksgiving mode. One would think they would have these type of deals after Thanksgiving. Stay tuned.

Growing up in CA, I remember my family getting food from this place. They would always advertise during Laker games on t.v. Then I remember their Chibata sandwiches and tacos (not sure it was a recent add on). The closest one to me is in Nashville, TN (hey, that rhymes!).

I went back to Christmas deals last year to see what people had written on them and found that Burger King, specifically, you do not have to buy something for the purchase. You just have to modify the sandwich and if the add ons cost cents on the $1, get to the $1 amount and you just bought yourself the sandwich without buying a separate item.

for Jack in the box, the cheapest thing you can do is order the 2 tacos for 99 cents through the app (which is an every day deal and doesn't count against your limit of one app deal at a time) and just add extra cheese to them which is 20 cents.

Why not just buy the item for the $1 deal and put add ons? You would spending an extra $0.99 and $0.20.

What item is $1 at Jack In The Box? I don't see anything on their menu that is. The two tacos are the cheapest item, but they are 99 cents, so you NEED the 20 cents add-on to make it go over the $1 minimum to get whatever free item they have for that day.

Monday : Start the workweek with a free Jumbo Jack.

I am going to use an example from the offer above. For instance, you buy a jumbo check and nothing else. Put extra toppings on the Jumbo Jack, if they have a customized option. If they charge you anything under $1 for those toppings, top it so that you only have to deal with that one item, those small charges add up to $1. Do this instead of getting the Jumbo Jack for what is already on it and then having to go out of your way to buy another item and then put toppings within the tacos. Does that make sense?

I hear what you are saying, but I am not sure if it would work that way with Jack in the box promos. I don't think you can add that free jumbo jack and then just add add-ons to it. I think the free Jumbo Jack will only be redeemable if you already have over $1 in your cart. And If you manually add a Jumbo Jack and then add add-ons, that jumbo jack will be full price and a SECOND jumbo jack will be redeemable for free. That's why it's easiest to just do the cheese add-on for the tacos. But of course you can test it out when the promos are live to see if your method would work.
