Again totally understand. I was semi torn if I wanted the tall or this size... I also wanted the food processor unit that attaches to this unit.. but again, torn as it was $250.

I was told by the expert and my wife "just go with this". nod

It's the same model with a 5 year warranty. In your case $75 cheaper.

Yeah, but some Costco reviews are iffy mentioning cheap plastic parts and blade rusting as it's an exclusive Costco only model but if something goes south I've Costco's return policy to fall back to rather than dealing with not so good Vitamix customer service.

No. They recalled the personal cup with self-detect earlier this year. The personal cup that they do still sell does not work with this model.

Unless you still got one of those self-detect cups. IIRC it's just idiots that didn't tighten the cup all the way...

yea you need the legacy model to work with this one. The vitamix blender without self detect. Or if you can find someway to bypass the smart detect it would probably work too.
